Partnership between SOA Software and Red Hat Accelerates the Shift to Open Source Solutions in Competitive SOA Market
SOA Software announced April 2nd that it is partnering with Red Hat (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, to accelerate simple, open, and affordable SOA solutions for the enterprise. The move signals the rapid emergence of open source solutions in a competitive SOA market that has been dominated by traditional, proprietary platform vendors.
Now, enterprises deploying SOA applications on Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Middleware can take advantage of SOA Software's Service Manager and WorkBench products for critical governance, security, management, and mediation functions. SOA Software announced March 5th the availability of a comprehensive SOA infrastructure solution for IBM WebSphere. The company now delivers Service Manager agents and delegates for WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker (WBI). This ensures that applications created using WBI and applications deployed in WAS can enforce and implement security, reliability, and interoperability policies as part of a comprehensive governance solution. SOA Software's SOLA product adds the ability for WebSphere applications to consume mainframe transactions as Web services.
