Senior Software Engineer - Products Group

SOA Software is the leading provider of comprehensive enterprise class SOA management, security, and governance solutions. We are rapidly growing and offer exposure to the latest technologies.

This person will:

Participate in the design and development of the market-leading SOA Governance product. Work closely in a creative and cutting-edge environment to deliver key features and functionality and to provide a quality, enterprise-scale product.

Lead the development, troubleshooting, debugging and implementation of software development projects. Will use experience and analysis to develop creative and innovative solutions.  Possess solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.  Function as a project tech lead and mentor team members.

Skills Required:
Extensive programming knowledge in Java.  Ability to successfully build scalable applications in Java.  Diverse platform / development experience (UNIX/Linux, Windows, HTML, DHTML/Javascript, XML, JSP/servlets, cross-OS issues, cross-browser issues).  Strong application and systems design skills.  Good written, verbal, presentation and teamwork skills. Experience with database design and implementation.

Skills Desired:
Knowledge of: BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere is preferred. Conceptual knowledge of web services is a plus.

Experience Required:
5 years of software development and Web development experience.  Successful completion of 2 full software development life cycles.

Educational Preference:
BS/MS or equivalent experience in technical field
